These fuckers protected the gunman from the kids parents. That's all they did that day.

u/joeyo1423 28d ago

That's what really gets me. If you're a weak little coward, fine, stand here pissing yourself. But if that's my kid inside, I'm going in. I get the logic - don't want a bunch of Rambo's going in there getting themselves killed. That makes perfect sense. But that's why the fucking police are supposed to go! I'd never stand there and wait. I'd rather force the police to kill me than stand there and watch 400 officers stand around with their dick in their hands

u/Lil_Shanties 28d ago

Yep, I agree going into any room with a gunman is the last thing I’d ever want to do but if my kid was in there and the police are not willing to go in immediately, especially when there are a dozen officers to one gunman…at that point hand over your guns and body armor we all saw them wearing in the videos and let the parents go in, even if the parents are bad shots and the worst happens it would still have been better than what did happen. Embarrassing and tragic day.

u/heresacleverpun 24d ago

Agreed! I'm a kindergarten teacher and idc what kinda Code Red bullshit shelter in place plan the police have mapped out for my classroom- There's no way in Hell I'm deciding which kid sits closet to the door and which sits furthest. My room has a window with a 4ft drop to the sidewalk. We walk 25 yds down that sidewalk away from the school to get to our specific "meet up area" for fire drills. And idk if it was God or the universe or fate, but it just so happens, that places my students directly in front of the house of a friend of mine (and fellow teacher, at a different school). They all have her garage code memorized, they've all "practiced" it on fake key pads I made myself. So guess what? I hear screams and shots coming from way on the opposite side of our building, there's no fuckin way I'm sittin there waiting with my kids. Fuck no. And they know it.

We've practiced it. I'm picking you up onto the radiator, you sit on it with your legs hanging out the window, you slide off onto the sidewalk. It's kind of a far drop, you might not land on your feet, you might skin your knee, you might bang your elbow. That doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is the garage door. You run. You RUN to Mrs. Wes's house and whoever gets there first does the garage code. If you're too nervous to do it, hide in the bushes on the other side of the garage and wait for another student to open it. Once it's open you go through the door into the house and you HIDE. You hide anywhere you can and you stay quiet. You're gonna wanna cry. You're gonna wanna scream for mommy. You might feel so scared that you think your body is frozen and it can't move. You need to push those thoughts aside and think of Mrs Wes's garage- only Mrs Wes's garage. And you stay there until a police officer or a teacher comes and says the magic code (cuz they know bad guys will lie and try to trick you).

It's gonna feel like a very long time, but you stay there. It's gonna feel like hours and hours and even days, but you stay there. And when it feels really really really really long? You. Stay. There. You might hear scary sounds, you might hear nothing. You might hear sirens, voices, kids. You might hear people who sound like your parents or your big brother or me. You might even think they're calling your name. YOU STAY THERE. It might get dark. You stay. You might get hungry, feel sick, feel sleepy. You stay. You might have to go potty, but you don't try to find Mrs Wes's bathroom- I know this is horrible, but you stay hidden and you just have an accident. It's OK this time. You stay. Someone will come when it's safe. ONLY WHEN IT'S SAFE. If no one comes, it's because it's not safe yet, so you stay. And I promise, when it's safe, they'll find you.

That's plan A. Plan B? We hear screams and shots from our side of the building and it's not safe to leave. We're not lining up against the wall with the door. Turning off the lights. Closing the blinds. Ya, that's work just as well as my parents hiding under their desks so they'll be safe if the Russians decide to drop a bomb. Tables 1 and 2 go in the closet, close the door, turn the lights off. It's gonna be pitch black. Tables 3 and 4 go in the bathroom, close the door, turn the lights off. It's gonna be pitch black. Table 5 goes into the bottom cabinets (row of cabinets that are on the same wall with the door and they run the length of that wall. They have several doors, but there's no dividers or shelves inside (cause I took them out. So my classroom is a bit cluttered? Uh ya,... I'm good with it. It's like a 3'Hx3'Wx18'L tunnel that can fit 15 kids. It needs to fit 5.)

And me? My classroom door is not flush with the hallway wall, it's indented by about 3'. We're the last classroom on that hall which ends with a glass door that exits outside. I can stand in that 3' alcove with my back against the wall where a person would be coming from and I see them in the reflection in that glass door. I've played fast pitch softball my whole life and if some MFer with an AK is comin down my hall lookin for a classroom of sitting ducks? No fuckin way. I'm swinging for the fuckin fences.

Otherwise, I couldn't live with myself.

61

u/cityshepherd 28d ago

What gets ME is that these cowards from that area care SO much more about your safety and wellbeing as a member of the public than those writing the policies & laws for everyone else. Which is really saying something.

28

u/RevolutionaryBox7745 28d ago

They'd have had no problems shooting you too.

They were cheering on the motherfucker.

79

u/locustzed 28d ago

And the feds. They kept federal law enforcement out

11

u/ttystikk 27d ago

A Fed killed the gunman. Eventually.

29

u/Ashmidai 28d ago

The community should have cakes made and sent to the station with those digitized pictures of their dead kids in icing. They could put candles on it for the age their kids would be now if not for their incompetence.

23

u/SunshotDestiny 28d ago

Also the courts. Remember they officially stated police are not obligated to protect you.

43

u/Monster6ix 28d ago

Definitely. I used to carry a badge and a lot of guys around me were good folk. However, so many of them wanted to be Billy-badass swat types. As a combat veteran, I really didn't want to be around the mindset, plus I realized the actual danger lay not in carefully planned, risk assessed, heavily armored and supported warrant service but in being the lone patrolman at a DV or bar fight hoping your backup arrives.

Or, that day when a call like this comes over the radio.

You go. You go, and you stop the bad guy. That's the mission. I wouldn't want to go on living if I didn't. I was enraged when these poor children perished because of the cowardice of so many armed individuals who stood around with thumbs in their asses listening to children scream.

If you were waiting for backup- despite single officer entry now being the accepted strategy- you go in when officer #2 arrives on scene. Even if you waited for a quad, because that's how you were trained...I would be willing to forgive that. But never this.

All those Billy-badass types...

16

u/unsupported 28d ago

According to the Supreme Court, police have no expectation to save someone's life.

11

u/jk-alot 27d ago

In all fairness to the Supreme Court, they are historically correct.

The Police were originally meant to break up protests regarding labor and what not. The Policy Agency was designed to protect the Interests of Wealthy Merchants.

The Organization that later became The Police was never meant to protect the common citizen.

8

u/unsupported 27d ago

Historically correct, is the best correct. Also, taking millions of dollars in gifts, vacation, and motor homes from people they routinely hear about is historically correct.

3

u/fuzzybad 27d ago

Ahem, achtually it's a "motor coach"

565

u/Much_Physics_3261 28d ago

Towns folk should vote to rename the town Coward that way those sick fucks can wear "Coward police department" on their badge.

282

u/boston_homo 28d ago

Town folk reelected their complicit mayor and sub zero governor so I wouldn't expect much. People just don't care about slaughtered kids.

186

u/NastyaLookin 28d ago

Exactly. I watched that midterm and they voted for the people who failed them, just as red voters always do.

87

u/Clever_Mercury 28d ago

Will never forget the picture of Ted Cruz showing up and hugging the sobbing police officers. Because, yes, that was what he did. He showed up after the tragedy to comfort the police.

41

u/WetNWildWaffles 28d ago

Jesus I forgot about that. On paper it sounds like a skit straight out of South Park

17

u/RevolutionaryBox7745 28d ago

Sobbing "Why couldn't WE have shot those kids?"

3

u/RevolutionaryBox7745 28d ago

Worse. They WANTED them slaughtered.

2

u/Steliossmash 27d ago

Is there evidence of this?

1

u/RevolutionaryBox7745 27d ago

The politics of Uvalde and the "cowardice" of the cops.

1

u/[deleted] 27d ago

[deleted]

1

u/RevolutionaryBox7745 27d ago

And then do... nothing...

1

u/RevolutionaryBox7745 28d ago

No, you don't get it.

What happened that day was an open-faced DESIRED RESULT.

702

u/Own_Bullfrog_3598 28d ago

The screams of terrified, dying children were edited out of the released security video. There is something very, very wrong here.

385

u/waitweightwhaite 28d ago

Well you dont' want to upset the cops. They are very fragile

195

u/HRHLordFancyPants 28d ago

God forbid they see an acorn!

24

u/houdinikush 28d ago
  • *hear an acorn

89

u/Lowlife_Of_The_Party 28d ago

Gotta support the thin blue skin

139

u/Bind_Moggled 28d ago

Decades after the USA PATRIOT act is passed, many Americans are just starting to fully comprehend the meaning of the phrase “police state” that all those hippy lefty commies were warning about.

61

u/lactose_con_leche 28d ago

Summary: in-group that the law protects but does not bind

Out-group that the law binds but does not protect

18

u/womanistaXXI 28d ago

It’s always been this way. The police was created to control the (previously)enslaved and poor masses in general and protect private property and the filthy rich class.

46

u/Clever_Mercury 28d ago

Watched the Frontline documentary on this and they spent over an hour trying to find building keys to open the classroom doors, but they never established the doors were actually locked. Subsequent investigation showed most, if not all, of the classroom doors were unlocked.

65

u/SeaEmergency7911 28d ago

Or they could have just, you know, used their battering rams to knock down the doors like they do all the time when they think a black person is smoking a joint.

Or drive through the doors with your cars FFS.

46

u/Ok_Exchange342 28d ago

Used their battering rams like they do at numerous "no knock warrents" when they are at the wrong address. Breonna Taylor comes to mind.

2

u/Jeraptha01 27d ago

That's why they stsrted thst whole campain To demonize a teacher for locking ormlocking the doors

They were desperately trying to get ahead of the blame

165

u/RoamingStarDust 28d ago

This is a holiday I can get behind.

90

u/Troub1eMan 28d ago

Just don't get behind the cops. They won't be any protection.

47

u/username32768 28d ago

Don't get in front of them either.

"Friendly fire" isn't your friend.

7

u/No_Yogurt_7667 28d ago

Well and plus if you’re behind them that may make them fear for their lives so be careful

One of my good friends from high school has a relative who is a cop. The cop guy would tell me a bunch of stories about their day to day work, and I would just grin and nod. Cops are legit psychopaths.

2

u/Blue_Fire0202 28d ago

The cops I’ve met are all around fine and I’ve personally never met a bad cop. Of course that’s just my personal experience just like yours.

309

u/-Lorne-Malvo- 28d ago

I believe that is a picture of the Uvalde police department, yes?

240

u/honeybakedman 28d ago

it is indeed. IIRC it was taken shortly before their extreme act of cowardice.

217

u/-Lorne-Malvo- 28d ago

They look so rough and tough in their cosplay costumes posing for the camera. Too bad it was all just cosplay.

81

u/xRafafa00 28d ago

Also gotta love the naval camo in a desert

40

u/ontimenow 28d ago

Too bad they didn't have elementary school camo. Maybe it would have made them feel more brave

18

u/-Lorne-Malvo- 28d ago

the Ass Clown Posse in Blue

17

u/SeaEmergency7911 28d ago

They look ready to take down a black man for speeding though.

13

u/Baelgul 28d ago

You can tell it was before it because of the lack of piss stains on their pants

37

u/Troub1eMan 28d ago

I think it is. The tweet is about them, so you'd think it would be.

11

u/-Lorne-Malvo- 28d ago

I think I recognize it from way back, as being them yes.

20

u/RangerWhiteclaw 28d ago

Just for a bit of nuance, that might be the entire Uvalde police department in that picture. State troopers showed up, Border Patrol showed up, nobody went in.

It’s still extreme cowardice, but I can give the local cops just a little bit of credit in deferring to state and federal law enforcement instead of going off and doing their own thing.

5

u/Campbellfdy 28d ago

That was just the swat team from that shithole.

28

u/Campbellfdy 28d ago

Not the uvalde police dept. the uvalde swat team. An insignificant shit of a town had a huge police force, a swat team and a separate school police force. Texans are cowardly bootlicking shits

19

u/DaveCootchie 28d ago

Dressed up in their best military cosplay. All those rifles and these pussies still couldn't do anything but shit their pants and arrest parents outside.

3

u/-Lorne-Malvo- 28d ago

they should all be mall cops

they are mall cops actually

11

u/jenjenjen731 28d ago

Paul Blart would've done more to save those kids!

5

u/thesaddestpanda 28d ago

Technically yes, but its actually a photo of all police departments.

130

u/FunctionBuilt 28d ago

I'm becoming less and less sure we'll ever see punishment from this. I'm still convinced a cop killed a kid.

94

u/JuniorBirdman1115 28d ago

Considering Uvalde subsequently reelected most of the so-called "leadership" that were in place when the shooting happened...yeah, nothing will ever happen.

Honestly the voters in that place deserve what they get for doubling down on the stupidity and refusing to change course. But sadly, the victims did not deserve to die. They deserved so much better than this.

50

u/CRKing77 28d ago

yes, please never forget that unprompted they went out of their way to assure everyone that ALL the bullets were from the shooter

Nobody asked, but they tripled down on it. And knowing how rotten Republicans are, if it was true they would do everything in their power to cover it up

People mock Beto for openly saying he would come for guns...those people are complicit in the culture that murders innocent people everyday

We're not a joke of a country, we're a shit stain on the planet when we LET kids get slaughtered, get their faces blown off so they are only identifiable by their shoes, and do nothing

Because collectively we are low IQ cowards. Downvote me, but what the fuck else is this

Someone should post the pictures the Washington Post published, the body bags in the hallway, the blood in the classrooms

Think of the lifelong trauma of the people who had to walk into those rooms and pick up pieces of kids

why are we the way that we are?

3

u/DreadAngel1711 27d ago

Yeah no you're right, I'm from the UK and the general perception is that you're all fucking insane

98

u/SinsOfThePast03 28d ago

Hard to argue with this.
Moreover, they prevented braver parents/others from entering to intervene

37

u/username32768 28d ago

Can you imagine the additional paperwork they'd have to fill in explaining why they allowed civilians through the 'perimeter'?

Cop brain: "On the one hand children may be killed... on the other hand paperwork's a bitch. Hmmm, what to do? What to do? I know, I'll just copy everyone else."

22

u/EastTyne1191 28d ago

This to me is ridiculous.

As a teacher, part of our ALICE training is, when all else has failed, we should attempt to counter the intruder. To do whatever we can to make it as difficult as possible to hurt anyone.

I won't carry a gun. And I've never been in a situation like that, but I can't imagine not at least TRYING to counter the intruder. Being a police officer, who supposedly has training for this, with weapons and gear just waiting around? Not going in is something worse than cowardice.

6

u/SinsOfThePast03 28d ago

100% agree! Bless you being a teacher! A job I know I could never do.
I grew up hunting and around guns for 25 years and gun safety was engrained in my brain from age 11 ! At the same time, I have no desire to carry one to protect myself , but would run into a war zone to protect an unarmed child without hesitation. This is just an embarrassment

70

u/blandocalrissian50 28d ago

Oh, and Gregg Abbott praised them afterwards. The same guy who just pardoned a murderer because he killed a BLM protester, and MAGA is cool with that.

55

u/restyourbreastshoney 28d ago

It is truly a stain on the country. Shame on every last one of those cowardly losers. I hope the screams if those children ring in their ears until they each draw their last breaths. In pain and terror, if there is any justice in this world.

9

u/Azhz96 28d ago

Some people really do not matter, like these cowards.

90

u/honeybakedman 28d ago

I thought that was every day.

29

u/Troub1eMan 28d ago

Well, I guess that is true.

15

Today is the day remind ourselves but yes, we should be celebrating this day every day.

"When the shooting starts, we hide."

24

u/Galactus2814 28d ago

And of course, there's another school shooting today, because it's a day that ends in Y in America

3

u/womanistaXXI 28d ago

Really? Where?

9

u/Galactus2814 28d ago

California. At a graduation, but still.... Shooting at graduation

4

u/womanistaXXI 28d ago

Oh wow. Too many social problems (all roads lead to capitalism) and too many guns… Your gun lobby must be so strong.

5

u/Galactus2814 28d ago

You must be very unfamiliar with America....

2

u/womanistaXXI 28d ago

I know the power of that lobby. I also think about the gun culture but that doesn’t really explain it all. If the laws were different, the culture would change, as it has changed in most countries in the world. I do hear the cultural excuse a lot though.

27

u/Nyxelestia 28d ago

Editor's note: The sound of children screaming has been removed

😬

15

u/ferrocarrilusa 28d ago

They were upset they wouldnt be spending the day giving tickets for DWB

12

Our country is a disgrace. The guns we allow everywhere cause nothing but tragedy and death. Ridiculous.

11

u/BiggestBlackSnake 28d ago

Yup, a giant bunch of spineless bitches.

Cowards through and through.

12

u/Country_Gravy420 28d ago

We can edit out their screams.

10

u/gamerdudeNYC 28d ago

“Patience is a virtue, he’ll run out of bullets or children eventually”

9

u/DonJuniorsEmails 28d ago

The cops weren't just cowardly.

They yelled out to kids in hiding to reveal themselves. Instead of saving anyone, the shooter found the kids and killed more of them.

The cops were accomplices to the killer.

10

u/pontiacfirebird92 28d ago

My daughter will be starting kindergarten this year and will have to participate in active shooter drills. I think about the events at Uvalde constantly and it's a huge fear knowing even if the unthinkable happens and police show up they won't be there to help save those kids. Plenty of police see nothing wrong with what happened there that day.

There's an image floating around of the classroom with the brightly colored letters and numbers on the wall, the chalkboard, and a row of blood spatters where the shooter lined them up and executed them one by one. Small children. While Uvalde's best stood outside waiting for nothing. Hearing every shot and just... doing nothing. That has stuck with me and is one of the most powerful, morbid, pics I've ever seen in my life.

And nobody was held accountable that day for the children's deaths. We were told that happened because there weren't enough guns. We were told there was nothing that could've been done. We were told lies as the governor and the police dept circled the wagons and tried the steer the narrative away so that they could avoid accountability. I don't know how someone can live with themselves knowing children were being executed in the building they were called to protect but maybe it's easy when you're completely shielded from the consequences of your actions for years. Why does Uvalde even have a police dept if this is the best they can do?

6

u/womanistaXXI 28d ago

So scary to leave your child in kindergarten or school and a mass shooting is a possibility. I don’t live in the USA and this is alien to me. It feels like you live in an erupting war zone that sprouts here and there. Unfortunately European countries want to be more like the US. It’s nonsensical.

9

u/Emadyville 28d ago

The worst part is the cops, obviously a while later, tried to run the parents of the slain children out of town for bad mouthing them. Truly disgusting all around.

22

u/Galactus2814 28d ago

What gets me is they are there to protect and serve .And when the kids were being shot they should have gone in that is their job plain and simple especially when children were involved. If they can't do that then turn in your badge.Sad thing I have a friend who is in her 60's if her granddaughter was in there she would have gone in with her gun no hesitation no tactical plan and tried to stop it.She has more balls than that whole police department.

27

u/No_Yogurt_7667 28d ago

According to SCOTUS, law enforcement has no legal obligation to protect you. A ruling so nice, they did it twice.

4

Seriously WTF

17

u/username32768 28d ago

Sadly, "To Protect And Serve" is a motto, not an oath.

It's no different to "I'm loving it", "Just do it", "Finger lickin' good", etc.

3

Legislation needs to be passed that clearly addresses this type of issue. That’s basically the gist of the decision.

3

Imagine cosplaying as tough wannabe badasses with this kind of firepower, then being massive chickens the ONE TIME they would actually ever need these guns.

Go back to giving people tickets for speeding, and harassing black teens for "loitering", you worthless scumfucks.

1

u/Jeraptha01 27d ago

They went back to cos0laying as rough wannabe badasses with no guilt right after someone else killed the shooter

4

u/My_useless_alt 27d ago

If there is one thing police are supposed to do, if there is one good thing that their fucking job entails, it is going into dangerous situations so we don't have to. If they didn't want to do that, they should never have signed up, that's literally what they are paid to do. I say this very rarely, but shame on them, for letting kids die because they were too scared to do their job.

7

u/Paladoc 28d ago

Luckily Uvalde was just a misnunderstood spelling of Ugalde.

No one of any import is harmed by Uvalde now denoting extreme cowardice, as in cowering, frightened, craven, gutless, lily-livered, pusillanimous, scared, spineless, timorous, worthless, yellow-bellied police.

Uvalde cops = Uphams.

Fucking cowards.

Yes, but look how badass they look with their cool guns for the camera with no danger in front of them at all. Total bad asses.

3

u/RevolutionaryBox7745 28d ago

They wanted those kids dead because they saw them and their families as illegal scum.

2

u/NurseJaneFuzzyWuzzy 28d ago

Wouldn’t be a bit surprised if Abbot himself told them to stand down. It’s Texas after all.

3

u/MaxxHeadroomm 28d ago

They did neither Protect or Serve. Uvalde will always equal disappointment and cowardice to millions of people

3

u/Fantastic-Order-8338 28d ago

Happy International Police Cowardice Day!

3

u/clankasaurus 28d ago

None of those cowards are getting into Valhalla. It doesn’t matter how many punisher stickers they put on their cop cars.

3

u/skijakuda 28d ago

No problem advancing on unarmed protesters in Texas University but not an elementary school.

Larger budget than balls.

3

u/Smart_Wasabi901 28d ago

I was living in Texas at the time that this happened. I remember being appalled (I have two school aged children) and thinking that all these losers with their 2A stickers and punisher stickers are really just a bunch of useless cowards. It makes me sick to my stomach that, not only did these chumps not do a damn thing, but they also tried to arrest parents for attempting to enter the school and save their children. Absolutely unreal.

3

u/NoDarkVision 27d ago

Shit.. has it already been a year? I guess it's still too early for republicans to talk about responsible gun laws. Still too early from sandy hook too

3

u/superbee4406 27d ago

Probably the darkest day in the history of law enforcement in this country. It came at the expense of kids and not law officers.

12

u/LetsLoop4Ever 28d ago

I asked an AI img generator what 400 police men would look like, I haven't counted though

34

u/Paladoc 28d ago

That many cops sure are brave when they're going after kids on a university campus, but god forbid it's a single gunman on an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

Shit, or anyone who could pose a danger to them. Fuckers saw kids getting beaten by counter-protestors, and for fear of their safety pulled back and refused to engage. Just like they did when they heard a gunman shooting fifth-graders.

But boy-howdy, let a single acorn fall near them....

Fucking cowards.

8

u/LetsLoop4Ever 28d ago

Fucking cowards.
Also, when I tried to count this blursed AI version, I got to 150 something so irl it would be more then twice this render

4

u/sour_creamand_onion 28d ago

All the people who would make great cops aren't cops because they're applying their strength of character and good will to fields where they won't get paid to fill out speeding ticket quotas and harass black people (or be complicit in watching their coworkers do so).

You'd be better off calling EMTs than cops for most scenarios where you'd think to call cops. Hell, I'd sooner take my disabled veteran mom in her 50s over any random cop if not for the fact I wouldn't want to put her life at risk if I were in danger.

1

u/Blue_Fire0202 28d ago

We need to pay cops more so that actual smart people want to become law enforcement. Defunding police does the exact opposite of what’s needed you need to spend money to train police and attract quality candidates.

2

u/Fair_Lecture_3463 28d ago

If anyone lives in Uvalde or close to it, I’d love to know what the community relationship with the police is like now. Is there anyone there that still supports them?

2

u/blanktom9 28d ago

Yes, the people are cowards and cost a lot of innocent lives that day, but don't let that distract you from the real problem - guns. What we really need to focus on and learn from Uvalde is that guns are the problem - not the solution.

2

u/LeftStatistician7989 28d ago

Imagine the kids that could have lived even if they were already wounded and had gotten emergency care faster

2

u/Commercial-Twist9056 28d ago

they need a mayor that isnt a fat POS that can barely walk for starters

2

u/HotStaxOfWax 28d ago

We could celebrate that every day of the year. But Uvalde was especially unforgivable and cowardly. But they were to busy stopping parents with no body armor or weapons from running in and doing the job they swore an oath to do. If any of those cops had any dignity, honor, morals, or shame they would have quit the next day.

2

u/ladbarry 28d ago

Hope each of those fuckers puts a bullet in their head.

2

u/geeriveting 28d ago

Let’s call them and harass them constantly 😃

2

u/Intrepid-Vehicle2455 28d ago

Just cowards LARPing as warriors/soldiers

2

u/chimelspac 27d ago

Extreme cowards!!!!

2

u/Any-Dust3389 27d ago edited 27d ago

Such fucking filth.

They act like they're such badasses. Fucking cowards.

The janitor and teachers put more effort into trying to save those children than these useless shitstains did.

2

u/AgregiousBW 27d ago

The sad thing is that now some of the surviving parents are suing Meta and Activision for damages. We've come full circle with the 'video games bad' sentiment.

2

u/Sir_Iron_Paw 26d ago

I wish I had the nerve to put this on Facebook. It's not worth the shit I would get from my in-laws.

1

u/Nodebunny 28d ago edited 21d ago

I love the smell of fresh bread.

1

u/HrBinkness 24d ago

I can't hear or read the word "Uvalde" without my stomach clenching. Not one of those cowards should still have a badge. Fuckers.

FTP. oh yeah, wait until you need one./s

3

u/regretableedibles 27d ago

“Wait until you need one.”

1

u/Loving_life_blessed 27d ago

exactly what i was saying. sarcasm missed. added /s

3

u/theroguevillian 27d ago

How'd that work out for those kids?

2

u/Loving_life_blessed 27d ago

i guess my sarcasm was missed. i thought the fuck the police would give it away.

2

u/Jeraptha01 27d ago

Those kids in ulvalde needed cops

-7

u/Luka_Dunks_on_Bums 28d ago

Thank god for Border Patrol

6

u/Last-Percentage5062 28d ago

My goodness! You forgot to switch to your negative Karma account!

2

u/Luka_Dunks_on_Bums 27d ago

Border Patrol agents went in and killed the shooter while the 400 cops stood around and did nothing.

Police get plenty of funding, and it looks like they have the correct equipment.

45

u/zwingo 28d ago

You say while being shown a picture of Uvalde police officers wearing tactical gear and holding rifles, aka the correct equipment to stop a mass shooter, who still didn’t do shit. They were funded, they had the equipment, they chose to piss themselves and stand around in a hallway until the shooter decided they were done.

-36

u/Voodoops_13 28d ago

Well, if it's not the equipment then it's obviously a failure in training, chain of command and preparedness. I guess tactical gear doesn't mean shit if you don't have a tactical plan in place.

14

u/Actor412 28d ago

They went through this exact type of training less than two months prior. Make up all the excuses you want, there is only one reasonable explanation: they are cowards.

28

u/ifnhatereddit 28d ago

They're cowards. It really is that simple.

Guess you skipped looking at the photo just to make this comment

18

u/Paladoc 28d ago

That's an asinine take.

Like, really.

Metro Nashville showed how to respond to a school shooting on March 27th, 2023 at The Covenant School.

1012 911 call.

1021 Officer Rex Englebert rolls up, grabs AR, gets to door and announces via radio. "Gimme three. Let's get three".

Three officers arrive and form up behind Englebert.

1023, enter the school.

Heard shooting, localized it to, and went to the second floor.

The were fired upon, but they got closer.

1025 Officer Englebert takes 3 shots and downs the shitstain.

EVERYONE who has ever thought about these situations knows, and this is reinforced in all the active shooter response trainings; mitigate harm, neutralize the threat with utmost speed. Cops are trained on this. Cops know this. Covenant we have excellent body cam footage that shows how the pros do it. Uvalde we saw how absolutely craven shitheels do it. The cops had all the toys, all the funding, and all the manpower they could have possibly dreamed of, but froze because they were all inept and venal. Seriously, they heard the kids being shot and dying. THEY KNEW WHERE THE GUNMAN WAS.

Funding was not their issue, intestinal fortitude and basic human decency were what they lacked.

16

u/teatimecookie 28d ago

Are you confusing cops with teachers?

-7

u/OwlfaceFrank 28d ago

400!? I don't think that town has 400 cops.

I have never heard that number on this story.

u/Jeraptha01 27d ago

Where have you been

Or is this just a propaganda spreading account?
