Oh look, another typical weak-on-crime Republican who is looking to destabilize America to please his foreign handlers.

Vote them all out!

u/G-Unit11111 28d ago

Yup! This is what 40 years of peddling Reagan's big lie has got us.

467

u/Clever_Mercury 27d ago

This is the quiet part conservatives usually *just* stop themselves from saying out loud... small government means a weak America that cannot compete internationally.

The only one a small American government would help is non-Americans, particularly those hostile to America.

144

u/MsCrazyPants70 27d ago

Maybe some corporations who would milk all the money while the execs live somewhere stable.

22

u/Apprehensive_Gas_111 27d ago

And that somewhere stable = a western-style democracy.

51

u/TheKevinTheBarbarian 27d ago

I sincerely believe that conservatives lack the critical thinking skills to understand what they are advocating for. You can look it up. Conservatives, on average, are less intelligent. I think it is because the get indoctrinated by the church to literally not think, just listen to everything the wizard at the front of the room says.

30

u/MarkXIX 27d ago

Notice the ones that spew this shit are wealthy. They have the means to hire security and love in places they think will isolate them from the impacts of their decisions. The morons that support them are the ignorant ones, but once they realize they’ve been duped they’ll get violent.

17

u/Kaida33 27d ago

But do they realize that with democracy and lawfulness Gone, so goes the Economy. Please vote Blue 💙

10

u/MarkXIX 27d ago

They don’t, because most of them believe that the economy supports handouts to brown people while they drive an $80k pickup truck and bitch about the price of diesel while they get 12MPG.

We are and will continue to be the world’s largest economy, but Trump has convinced them it’s shit and only he can fix it.

Republicans want to shut down the FBI, the CIA, and the IRS for the same reason that criminals want to shut down the police department.

98

u/Semi-wfi-1040 27d ago

Exactly this all criminals want no oversight over what they do , that includes the outrageous republicans including the few dangerous ones on the Supreme Court they all need to be prosecuted for the traitors they truly are and punished.

36

u/LonelyGuyTheme 27d ago

The same as criminals and people with poor impulse control. They all want open constitutional carry.

I’ve never understood why the NRA wants people who the police don’t want to have guns, to have guns.

35

u/Morepastor 27d ago

They don’t. I’ll mention the fucker once more but look at Reagan again. CA gun control is created by him because he did not like the Black Panthers open carrying at their events.

27

u/LonelyGuyTheme 27d ago

More, they didn’t want the Black Panthers, or anyone who is not them, to have guns.

Yeah, and USA won't be a democracy anymore, which will swiftly erode the soft power.

"Make the government so small corporations can drown you in your bathtub!"

15

u/CBalsagna 27d ago

Small government means even less restrictions for the rich in this country to do whatever the fuck they want. It would be literally whatever you can afford to do you can do.

10

u/S4Waccount 27d ago

They should be fighting for transparency in the government. That would fix a lot of "big gov" worries and corruption.

9

u/Pootang_Wootang 27d ago

Fun fact, the federal government expanded in terms of the number of employees under every president except for Obama.

It's crazy that the "back the blue" crowd wants to demolish the federal police agencies. It's like they have some sort of nefarious motive.

3

u/nch20045 27d ago

It's not crazy when you think about how the FBI investigated the police and military because of possible coordinated efforts by white supremacist organizations to infiltrate them and told them about the attempts from multiple white supremacist organizations and the military tried to deal with it while the police divisions they investigated did nothing. The FBI has warned multiple times that white supremacists are making coordinated efforts to infiltrate the police, so getting rid of it is backing the blue for them.

I mean look how well this style of politics is working in Argentina...

Just don't look at the fact that 60% of the country is in poverty, ignore that black market pesos, ignore that the police in some provinces including prison guards are protesting... You know one of the main groups you need to keep happy so you can stay in power. Ignore that Argentina is taking on massive debt from foreign groups like the IMF... Ignore that there is no road maintenance and infrastructure is crumbling.

Everything is fine and soon they will be on the US dollar.... That will surely fix everything.

14

u/DullCartographer7609 28d ago

Would that increase the value of the US dollar if it went toe to toe with the Euro?

13

u/norcal406 27d ago

Didn’t the CIA try to provoke a coup to overthrow the Argentinian government and it was a big failure and huge exposure?

It’s worse than that, I think. Many of these creeps really buy what they’re saying about shutting down 90% of our government’s agencies. These lunatics are true believers in the worst kind of way. Remember the town that overtaken by Libertarians, and was so poorly managed that literal bears started invading? Well, the people who stayed behind doubled down on the insanity.

The stubborn fools decided to stick to the same policies that have gutted their town against all evidence that what they believe is a total failure. This isn’t optimism, it’s not even ignorance, either. It’s a willful and deliberate rejection of reality. They want their socio-economic model to be true so badly that they’ve cocooned themselves in a web of purposeful ignorance to hide from the truth. Barring that, they’ll re-write the laws and the history books to trick people into believing they’re right, because who will be able to say otherwise!

THAT’S what we’re dealing with, folks. Make no mistake, if Trump and guys like Vivek get back into power, there is no failure too great that will shake their faith in the system they’re determined to bring into reality. If evil and stupid could have a baby, it would look like this.

69

u/BitterFuture 27d ago

Ramaswamy is, let's remember, the guy who got fired by the business he'd created when he lost his fucking mind and started saying that as the CEO, fighting "woke" ideology was more important than making money.

42

u/DJDemyan 27d ago

Bizarre take coming from a dude that is not white too. “Woke” keeps people from burning crosses and shit again.

30

u/BitterFuture 27d ago

Some folks' life goal really is to be the last one sent to the camps.

Sad, pathetic, but true.

24

u/DJDemyan 27d ago

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Trump voters grew up in an America with strong civil services and large investments in public infrastructure. A tv network funded by a racist Australian and Saudi money piloted by a man who thought Nixon did nothing wrong and just needed a friendly media outlet is how we got here. People mostly raised by corporate television don’t want to pay taxes even though they have benefitted from that exact system more than most. And social media mush brains are going to make it worse.

28

u/KarmaYogadog 27d ago edited 27d ago

You've identified the core of the problem. Fox "News" brought right-wing radio extremism out of the shadows and into living rooms and public spaces starting in 1996. Folks still understate the damage done to political discourse. Right-wing churches, social media, and paid professionals like Cambridge Analytica and Russian Internet Research Agency have all done their part but the biggest shiv stuck in the body politic is Fox "News" in my opinion.

3

u/Mobile-Marzipan6861 27d ago

Foreign money agitating xenophobia. When I was a child, not in my teens, I remember my grandpa would listen to AM radio with Dr Laura and Rush sometimes. And one segment was particularly bad from Dr Laura and I asked my grandpa if he believes these things ? He laughed and said , “nah. But you need to listen to the bad guys to know what they’re thinking”. He would sit at home and Bill Orielly and just laugh. I thought all grandpas were like this. Turns out not everyone is in on the joke.

3

u/KarmaYogadog 27d ago edited 27d ago

“nah. But you need to listen to the bad guys to know what they’re thinking”.

I tried this for a while but found it far too disturbing because I'd already seen how many Americans were susceptible to this kind of indoctrination. My worse fears are being relized right now but I hope that the red/fascist wave is cresting and will eventually recede. Even if it does, it's gonna do/has done a lot of damage.

As a society, we eventually had to decide who could and could not offer their services as doctors or sell things as medicine. We're going to have to figure out how to do this with news as well if we want to continue living in a free society. There is a free speech paradox along the lines of the pardox of tolerance that we haven't recognized yet: Nearly all speech is free and unregulated but we're going to have to do something about the speech that is carefully designed and sneakily perpetrated for years with the sole intent of undermining democracy the way Rupert Murdoch has done.

My favorite thing about libertarians is every time they try to set up a libertarian paradise, it fails spectacularly and is very funny.

It's a religion to them. They're no different from Young Earth Creationists and Flat Earthers (who are often BOTH of those things).

Libertarians are nothing more than republicans that want weed legalized.

38

u/Roakana 28d ago

That is a great comedy bit but wildly reductive. libertarians want to rule as kings over serfs. They believe they are superior because of privilege and who are we to tell them what they can do. Serfs don’t speak back. God Kings if you will. They want to be untouchable - Elon

MAGA want to rule by force because they want to suppress all those that don’t fit the plan. Fascists because they will use power to destroy that which they deem “apostate”. -Trump

Libertarians are quite sinister when you scratch away the gild. For them every impulse is justified if you are of the elite.

I would argue Trump is a aspirational Libertarian that isn’t welcome in the club so he is using the Republican Party to exact his revenge.

18

u/Vezuvian 27d ago

I would argue that Trump is a tool being used to destabilize the country and has been since he visited Moscow with Ivana in the late 80s and took out that full page "America kinda sucks right now" ad in several different publications after he returned.

A total of 468 seats in the U.S. Congress (33 Senate seats and all 435 House seats) are up for election on November 5, 2024

United States Congress elections, 2024

It’s good to look at local elections now! Today! For instance I’m in Arizona. Here’s info for all y’all sweating out here with me.

Even if he chopped them he would recreate the same institutions. Then they would just all be in brown shirts with armbands.

These people shouldn’t be in government, they need to play civilization and see how stupid their all ideas are

2

u/keajohns 28d ago

Imagine the unemployment rate if they did that

2

u/Master-Shaq 28d ago

I think my favorite part of the movie civil war is that the president does exactly this and loses America and thats what republicans want lol

2

u/MrPsychic 28d ago

“Shut down all these things so we can slowly try to remake them, but in our image!”

2

u/MentalGravity87 28d ago

Disassemble government agencies so that corporations can privatize all of it's responsibilities. I am pretty sure the fall of Rome has some parallelism with this fever of greed and currption by their upper class.

2

u/SatchmoDingle 28d ago

They have one dream, burn it all down. They’re fucking psychopaths.

2

u/Dull-History5397 28d ago

Shut the fuck up and die. Like yesterday.

Left to his own devices - this 1 dimensional chess player would definitely be among the first to be mauled to death by the inevitable cocaine bears roaming his libertarian paradise.

When right wing populism is an easy route to fame and power you'll see crazy people emerge like this

2

u/Forsworn91 27d ago

“Shut down all the people who are responsible to hold people accountable… no it’s just a massive coincidence that the people they are holding accountable are MY friends and Allies”

2

u/gracecee 27d ago

How about we sic the SEC on his pump And dump Of his bio tech company that made him Over 800 million but left huge losses to investors?

2

u/your_fathers_beard 27d ago

Yeah, they want to leave just the military, under a Republican fascist federal apparatus that does nothing for governance and just maintains control so they can continue to plunder with their corporate bosses.

2

u/TheOvercusser 27d ago

Tax the wealth of billionaires at 100% above $1B. Just extract their stocks, throw 34% in Social Security, 33% in medicaid, and 33% in UBI.

2

u/Teabagger-of-morons 27d ago

Basically turn us into feudal Britain from back in the day.

2

u/Clever_Mercury 27d ago

So you don't want a CDC? That makes you, what, pro-Ebola? Pro-MRSA? Pro-suicide? Pro-sepsis? What exactly is this position?

Or you just want to make sure every other nation in the world can fight over being the definitive source of medical and public health information once the US is out of the game? Small government isn't good for Americans, it's just good for the people wanting to replace American leadership.

Heck, I'd happily double every agency's budget just to see what they'd do with it. Let 'em grow. Make them the world's strongest agencies.

The problem with AMERICA has always been too much education!!

Not surprising since he allowed Ann Coulter to spray Nazi venom, a very obvious personal white supremacist verbal attack, straight on to his face and even liked it.

2

u/TKG_Actual 27d ago

And this, folks is why Vivek never was a candidate. He clearly is beyond idiotic and anyone who supports him is incurably stupid.

I just read an article where the crazy militia guys the are running for office in Oregon, they are the right winged militia family, that had that crazy old father Clive’s Bundy, who for 20 years wouldn’t pay the fee all farmers and ranchers pay on their cattle and he owed like a million dollars at that time, Reagan was the one that set the price of cattle per head, and then he was involved with the state park take over and are taking seats in Oregon because some of them have no one running against them. Here’s the article https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/article/2024/may/24/people-rights-network-oregon-elections

How about shutting down coverage of fools?

Side benefit: no more coverage of Donald, either.

2

u/throwngamelastminute 27d ago

Libertarians are like toddlers: Utterly convinced of their own independence, yet they have no understanding of how anything functions.

2

u/PixelatedDie 27d ago

A dream for billionaires. No government to “oppress” them.

2

u/dieselsauces 27d ago

Everytime I see or hear Doublewhamy, he makes me sick. He the worst of Musk and Trump combined

2

Swing and a miss, viv.

2

America would be a hive of small religious cults

2

u/Morepastor 27d ago

Defund the police = bad

Defund the Government = pick me energy

2

u/ppSmok 27d ago

Let's turn this bitch inta a REAL third world country. Civil wars, diseases, more corruption, no proper law.. away with this half assed shit we have now.

2

u/eastcoastelite12 27d ago

If he shuts down all those agencies who’s going to protect him when the right discriminates and carries out hate crimes against him because he is a brown man….Ann Coulter wasn’t expressing a fringe idea on the right when she says she couldn’t vote for him because he was a an Indian. I can’t wait for the face eating Leopard to come for this guy.

2

u/ortofon88 27d ago

Imagine having $900 million and spending your free time hanging out with the biggest losers and freaks on the planet.

2

u/Roncom234 27d ago

So basically they're saying to shut down every element that makes a functioning government.

How are these people even allowed to exist?

2

u/funnyandnot 27d ago

Cut the defense spending and wasteful defense contracts… a much better solution than this guy is making.

2

u/SnooTangerines9065 27d ago

Why do people who don't want a country want a country?

Can we just rope off part of the south for them to have a not-country in?

Like here you go, here's some land to not govern. You can resign now knowing the land you are in charge of is not governed. You did good, you can rest now.

2

u/MReprogle 27d ago

Then what? The dude acts like we would do this to lower corruption, when in reality, this would harbor more corruption. If anyone thinks we are going to start paying less in taxes, you have lost your mind. They will take the same taxes and just likely funnel them into the war economy, where it is easy to cover up where the money is actually going.

2

u/MalachiDraven 27d ago

I just don't understand. What will it take for our government and law enforcement, such as the FBI and CIA, to finally start treating these politicians like the dangerous Traitors that they are? The GOP is 100% a threat to our national security, and they should be treated as such. They're all foreign assets in one way or another. Why is nothing happening?
