Patch 14.10 Bug Megathread

Greetings Summoners!

With every new patch Riot introduces to balance out champions and items there are some unforeseen issues that creep up and cause disruption during gameplay. We have noticed that these issues which eventually get fixed clutter up the subreddit immediately following the patch.

We want to avoid this by having a single Megathread which will be posted after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered.

Note only bugs caused by the 14.10 Patch should be reported below.

Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.
  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.
  3. The bug must have been caused by the latest patch.

Format when reporting a bug: When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your computer.

Server: The server you encountered the bug (NA, EUW, EUNE, TR, RU, BR, LAS, LAN etc)

Type of Bug: Client Bug, In Game Bug etc

Description: Describe what was the bug that occurred.

Video / Screenshot: Insert screenshot (F12 in game) or Video of the bug occurring.

Steps to reproduce: Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug.

Expected result: What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

Observed result: What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above?

Reproduction rate: If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10: Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10: Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10: Happens every single time)

System specs: Processor, Video card, Ram, HDD/SSD, everything you can provide, even drivers.

Example Bug:

• Server: EUW

• Type of Bug: In-Game Bug etc

• Description: Zed's R (Death Mark) does not apply secondary damage

• Insert Video / Screenshot of the incident

• Reproduction rate: 2/10 (happened 2 out of 10 times)

• Steps to reproduce:

Launch a game after selecting Zed as your champion. Attempt to use Death Mark. Observe the result.

• Expected result: The damage should apply after a short delay, amplified by damage dealt during the effect.

• Observed result: The damage will not apply properly.

• System Specs: Intel i5 Processor, Windows 7, Nvidia Graphics card (insert model number) etc.

If you don't know how to format comments on Reddit click here

- **Server:**
- **Type of Bug:**
- **Description:**
- **Video / Screenshot:**
- **Steps to reproduce:**
- **Expected result:**
- **Observed result:**
- **Reproduction rate:**
- **System specs:**

Copy paste the above code and fill in your details.

From this Megathread the list of bugs will not be summarized and put up in the main body of the thread, however, note that many Rioters are going through every single comment so don't worry if you post the 1500th or 3000th comment, every reply will be read over the next few days.

BLG Elk opened his stream for people to flame him

Link: https://x.com/HupuEsports/status/1794012243430191358

Elk went streaming today after losing MSI Finals:

"I started the stream today, so u guys can directly flame me all u want. Chat moderators no need to ban people today. Since I lost the match, I deserved to get criticized."

What a gigachad. Also the flaming stream is closed by now so no I'm not inviting more people to go harass him. I just think his attitude and willingness to take accountability is admirable.

Volibear Top has 3 completely different viable item builds, which should be highlighted cause people often complain about the lack of build diversity in League

Riot gets criticized often for a lack of build diversity but with the changes to runes and Navori,Volibear now has 3 different viable builds:

1. Rod of Ages + Navori Flickerblade + Jack of all Trades

This is the newest build, made possible by the changes to Navori and introduction of Jack of all Trades. It takes advantage of the fact that Volibear's Q and W reduce ability cooldowns with Navori, and that you get 10 Jack stats from Doran's Blade + Ionian Boots + Rod + Navori which gives you 10 AH and 25 AP,both of which reduce your cooldowns (AP gives you Attack Speed through passive, which means more Navori procs) and that makes you tankier through W.

2. Unending Despair + Fimbulwinter + Spirit Visage

The drain tank build, popular from last split. The removal of Ingenious Hunter and direct buffs to Despair actually made this build stronger at one item and more reliable in general,as you don't depend on getting stacks for Unending Despair to be good, and your secondary runes were freed up so you can take Precision for 2 of Presence of the Mind/Legend:Haste/Last Stand. Not much to say here, other than take Shield Bash and try to teamfight when you have Blue and Red Buffs.Blue buff directly makes you a lot tankier through more mana for Fimbulwinter procs and haste for W and E,and Red helps you proc it on CD.

3. Nashor's Tooth + Riftmaker + Hullbreaker

AP Wizard Bear, this is the splitpush build when you don't want to be on the same screen as your teammates. It takes advantage of the fact that Volibear's passive has double scaling with AP,you get more attack speed (20% AP ratio at max stacks) and more on-hit damage (40% AP ratio, equal to Mordekaiser for example),which is a huge DPS increase.Only build that runs Precision primary, though you should take Resolve 2nd for Demolish + Revitalize.Don't max E please, the spell gets barely anything from skillpoints, and building Riftmaker first is correct in some matchups. This build is good in certain matchups that are quite hard otherwise (for example, the Tank build does poorly vs Fiora and Mordekaiser but Riftmaker performs very well).

Which pros have reached the skill ceiling for specific champions?

Recently I saw someone write "This is how I imagine Yasuo playing himself" on a Yasuo outplay clip. Then watching professional league I realized that these players are playing these champions to their limits. Thinking about Faker's Azir, exuding an almost royal confident, Showmaker's Syndra almost never missing crucial skill shots, or even Knight's Ahri, which almost has an 100% ban rate for any team going against BLG.

What pros do you associate with specific champions? Which pros are able to play champions like how the champions would act themselves?

r/leagueoflegends 3h ago

Okay, now that's been out for almost half a year - what the hell does Kaenic Rookern mean?

Are the words meaningless? Did they have a stroke when writing it? Were aliens involved?

The wiki has a comment trying to figure out the origin and pointing out that other languages give it equally meaningless names.

What does everyone think, is there meaning hidden in the madness?

Unflinching vs Overgrowth Math

Hey everyone, I recently saw Phreak’s 14.11 preview where he states that Unflinching is a good rune & that the math behind it is correct & it’s perfectly viable to take over overgrowth. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UrkWzOZ1JM) (At 37:55 he mentions it.)

So I decided to do some quick math to understand if maybe people are wrong & it’s equally as good as Overgrowth.

So Unflinching is certainly better early game where you’re getting 2 armor & mr which translates to around 1% less damage taken & 76 gold worth of stats as opposed Overgrowth giving 0.

To Summarize gold value difference:(Unflinching vs Overgrowth)

Early game (assuming 2-5 resists vs 0-75 health):

76-190 vs 0-200 gold

So they’re both of equal value roughly because if you play in a solo lane, you’re getting hit with only 1 damage type most of the time (physical or magic) which actually means 40-100gold (compared to 0-200) worth of stats & not considering the condition needed to get it. The only way I think it’s more valuable is if the 2 armor won you an early trade and got you a kill. That’s it.

Mid-Late game (assuming 6-10 resists vs 100-250 health (I always get at least 250 with Overgrowth & I’m not even level 18)):

228-380 vs 267-667 gold

I think in the mid to late game Overgrowth is simply better by magnitudes. The gold value of unflinching is ONLY assuming 2 conditions:

  1. You’re getting hit by both magic & physical damage (if it’s only physical damage for example, then gold value is 120-200 vs 267-667)
  2. You’re getting hit by CC

If you meet both of these conditions, you’re STILL getting less value than overgrowth.

All of this doesn’t account for the fact that LDR & cleaver got buffed & shred more armor while the LDR passive got removed (which increases damage on higher health targets).

So building health is even more valuable when considering these changes.

Could anyone explain how Unflinching is more viable in some situations? Maybe if you’re a jungler who doesn’t have many units dying around him? Or a roaming support? Am I missing something? Is my math wrong? I just don’t understand the logic behind it.

Anyone remember how absurdly long it took to unlock champions back in early league?

Nostalgia rambling post.

I’m fully stacked on blue essence just by casually playing over the years and as I was buying the rest of the champions I didn't have today I thought back to those times.

Blue essence (Influence points back then) were so hard to come by. 12 year old me who was too scared to yoink their parents credit card had to wait patiently every week and pray that the champions I wanted to play for so long would appear on the free champion rotation and in some cases this took up to several months. Unlocking a 6300 IP champion permanently was an absolute myth but it’s what made the weekly champ rotation so exciting.

That first win of the day bonus for influence points was so huge and I had to do it everyday even on school days, sneak onto the computer and run a Co-op vs AI and try end it as fast as I could.

Are people better now at lower ELO than seasons past

I've been playing since about season 3. I've never really been good but always able to get silver, pretty easy, and sometimes climb to gold. The past 2 seasons the people in bronze are all of a sudden so much better at the game than I've ever noticed. For the first time in my LoL career or 10 years I struggle to get to silver. I fight for it like I used to get to gold. I used to be that if you played well, it was almost guarantee that you could out play the people in bronze (with some exceptions). Low bronze especially just felt easy. Now, the people in bronze feel like (about) who I'd face in low gold in seasons past. Has anyone else noticed this?

Give us two bans in Arena again

Arena is supposed to the the “for fun” rotated game mode and advertised to try whatever champ and mess around with augments, but where is that fun when every single person is just playing the same damn champs every game. Mundo, Yi, Kayn, Brand, Darius, Veigar, to name a few. I want to mess around with assassins but can’t when the entirety of the enemies are tanks or healing lords. Meta slaves will be meta slaves, but let us at least ban out this meta.

Which stacking champion improves the most with stacks?

Let's say it's 20 minutes into the game, which of the infinitely stacking Champions, assuming they are equally stacked up (by this i mean they get their average stacks per minute),has the most noticeable improvements?

What makes Yun-Tal arrows unique?

EDIT: I looked at the numbers and the bleed is 35% total AD on crits so basically Yun tal is 65 AD + 35% Crit dmg while IE is 80 AD + 50% Crit dmg.

LDR has armor pen, Collector is better vs squishies and has the execute, so what makes Yun-al different to IE?

The bleed stacks so it doesn't matter how fast/slow you attack, it only triggers on crits just like IE, has an AD ratio just like crit damage and is only 2s long.

The only real difference to IE is its 200g cheaper cost and that it doesn't empower things like jhin's 4th auto or caitlyn's headshot. Of course you can get both but that doesn't justify it.

I think it should be made more unique and interesting like

  • the AD could be lower and the bleed higher

  • the bleed could be longer so it synergizes with collector.

  • the bleed damage could be higher vs low health

  • or the bleed could not stack so it's better on champs with low attackspeed or just wait longer between attacks

Which champions have a Prestige skin considered as their best skin?

I have just enough mythic essence to buy 1 prestige skin (saved up from old prime capsules).
Usually I only upgrade skin shards or buy skins from my shop and sales that are considered to be the best skin for a champ (based on polls/tier lists), so I was wondering which champions has a prestige skin considered as their best skin to spent the mythic essence on that one.

I didn't find such threads from past so should be useful reference for people in the future as well

Patience is so OP against Yasuo players.

As a mid main, Yasuo has always been my ban. Even when he was weak, I just hate laning against his kit. I've always tried to think 5D chess ahead. Cracking his shield every few seconds before a gank. Trying to poke him if I can even land my mouse on him. But I always came back to outplaying myself.

Currently, because ADCs are hell on earth for the first time in a decade, I rotate my bans based on the ADC that's flavor of the month.

So Yasuo is free.

And holy hell. These guys don't tolerate patient opponents lol.

If you simply hug tower and last hit, they will E into you under tower and die repeatedly. It happened so many times now it can't be attributed to sheer coincidence.

They are anime-fueled so putting some Mozart is their antithesis.

Just a tip.
